[minor] position of config dialog when changing language

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[minor] position of config dialog when changing language

Post by *StickyNomad »

I couldn't find anything about this in the forum or history.txt, sorry if this was addressed already...

How to reproduce:
1. open TCs config dialog and move it anywhere (not centered in the screen)
2. Change to any external language file an press 'apply'
-> The dialog keeps its position as expected
3. Now set the language to internal english and press 'apply'
-> The dialog is moved to the center of the screen (not expected)

This might be intentional, but I want to report this anyway in case it's a little bug.

This happens because internal English isn't stored in an external language file, but in the dialog template itself. To switch to English, TC has to close the dialog, re-create and re-open it. Since that dialog doesn't remember its position, it will appear at the default location.

Ah, OK. Thanks for clarification. So this thread can be moved to 'behaviour which will not be changed' then.
