Search "not older than 1 month" failed at 03/30/20

Post by *HolgerK »

Create a folder with the following content:

Code: Select all

this_week.txt 0 k	03/30/2010 12:00	-a--
1_week_ago.txt 0 k	03/23/2010 12:00	-a--
2_weeks_ago.txt	0 k	03/16/2010 12:00	-a--
3_weeks_ago.txt	0 k	03/09/2010 12:00	-a--
4_weeks_ago.txt	0 k	03/02/2010 12:00	-a--
All dates are set via "Files->Change Attributes.."

:!: Current date is 03/30/2010 :!:

- <Alt+F7> Tab [Advanced]

(Test A): [x] not older than: 1 month(s)

 No file found!

(Test B): [x] not older than: 4 week(s)

 All files found!

- Now set the system date to 04/01/2010

(Test C): [x] not older than: 1 month(s)

 All files found!

Could it be that 02/30/2010 is an invalid date?

TC7.55 public beta1, Vista x86

Regards
Holger

Confirmed. Yes, it seems that it is because of wrong date subtracting.

It works okay in 7.04a.
All files are found, regardless how old they are, since TC 7.50 private beta 1. Probably due to:
HISTORY.TXT wrote:10.08.07 Added: All time-related functions now use the NTFS time instead of the old FAT file system time -> also dates before 1980 supported
No files are found since TC 7.51 private beta 3.

Cofirmed too! It seems that the Windows date/time convert function doesn't like dates like 31.2.2010...

31.03.10 Fixed: Find files not older than 1 month on 31. March not working (because 31. February doesn't exist...)
Yes, this is fixed in TC7.55pb2.

Thanks

Thanks! There was some discussion in the private forum whether files from 28.2. should be found on 31.3. - but Explorer finds them, so TC will find them too.
