Sync via USB, change path, recompare - old path used

Post by *Flint »

1. Connect to TC on another computer via USB Easy Transfer cable.
2. Open some not too large directories in the local and remote TC panels on the client computer.
3. Call SyncDirs dialog, press Compare, wait till it finishes.
4. Change the remote path in the SyncDirs editbox to anything non-existent.
5. Press Compare again.
6. TC shows the previous contents. If you double-click a couple of files to compare or press F3 to view it, TC requests the server for the file from the previous (existing) directory instead of the new one.

I will check that, thanks. Btw, it uses the same functions as ftp, can you reproduce the problem there too?

The reason why this is done is that some FTP servers do not support the "change directory" command with absolute paths. So if change directory fails, TC just starts from the current location...

Edit: I found a solution: TC will now show a warning if the change directory command fails, but leave it up to the user whether he lets TC read the directory or not.

I confirm that the message now appears in case of inexistent path.
