I (and, sure, many) need call some bar from another and have possibility return back without hard links in child.
Command OPENBAR not enough: must be also RETURNTOPARENT or such.
I hope, simply FILO stack of calls is not "too complex"?

I think it would be useful to have universal command to return to previous bar w/o specifying its exact path. And not too complex. :)

You can assign the child-bar to a button and set the option "Show as menu" option

Sometimes it is useful to open menu bar as button bar e.g. to paste buttons onto it and then switch back to parent bar.

Try Nested Button Bar Creator 2.00, it makes navigation between button bars much easier.

All sense in single default.bar as "parent of parents" and many almost independent bars, which can be used in any combination. Full analogy is CALL command in any batch language.

Christian,
What if you add an envvar with path to main buttonbar? It would be nicer to use it for the first button of new BAR file, e.g.:

Code: Select all

cmd1=%COMMANDER_BAR%
So such bar file will work better with another TC installation or with portable TC.
