Automatically activate cm_SyncChangeDir on FTP connections

Hi,

I'd like to suggest an option to activate cm_SyncChangeDir automatically, whenever I open an FTP connection. (And then deactivate it when FTP gets closed).

Could be set either globally or for each FTP connection separately.

Reason: To me, FTP is the use case for cm_SyncChangeDir, and I often forget to turn it on, or (when I'm done) turn it off again.

Besides, I think this command should be made available in the menu, e.g. in the Show menu.
Reason: Search this forum, and you'll get at least 10 threads where people obviously don't know that this cool feature already exists ....

Cheers!

I agree. This would be a good feature.
I think this should be made as option to execute a command (e.g. cm_SyncChangeDir) on ftp connection/disconnection.

Any news on the subject?
This feature is really very much needed.

Another suggestion in forum is more universal
FTP suggestion - invoke TC command after connection

This can be done with a View Mode and an Auto Switch Mode setting

Thanks! It seems you've got the following there:

Code: Select all

cm_SyncChangeDir|cm_SyncChangeDir
Is that correct? So that turns it off again when leaving this view mode? Is there a way to prevent turning it OFF when entering this view mode when it's already on?

Yes and yes.

No, unfortunately not.
