Problem with TextSearch plugin on W7

Post by *pgriffet »

Hi all, I've installed TextSearch on Windows7 with TC756a but there is a problem.

As you can see here : Image: http://membres.lycos.fr/pgriffet/Textsearch.jpg

The field "Property" is empty but the value "text" should be present. This is abnormal.
Can somebody else confirm the problem on W7 ?
TIA

Maybe it's a problem with French translation of the plugin? Please chech whether you get the same problem when you change the TC language to English in Configuration - Options - Language.

Actually, I have no language file in the archive wdx_TextSearch.zip and I don't have any language file in the directory where I've installed TextSearch. There is no need for translation, IMHO.
I run the same TC56a on a USB key on XP and W7, TextSearch works on XP but not on W7.

Do you use this plugin?
http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/TextSearch.html

I have just tried it, and it works just fine here on Windows 7 x64. Please try to re-download and re-install the plugin.

Maybe you need to install it to a directory where you have write rights? The plugin seems to store its ini files in the plugin directory.

2christian, yes this plugin.
TC and TextSearch are on an USB key, so the ini files are on FAT32
And the plugin is ok when running on my other PC with XP
Maybe is there another file created elsewhere which needs rights ?

Difficult to say - you can use the tool "process monitor" from www.sysinternals.com (free) to check what the plugin tries to do...
