Re: TC for macos x?
Hello, Xtrician.
Yet, as OS X is linux based, BSD to be precise, it should be feasible to install Wine and run Total Commander under Wine.
(Yes, I realize that this is just a workaround.)
Maybe it is possible to get and run Krusader v2.0 on Mac OSX, I really do not know for sure.
Running T.C. under Wine on OS X would answer the third question.

Telling from all I read in Linux forums, the common point of view seems to be: there is none.Or maybe know a good alternative for it?

Double Commander, as a Lazarus/FreePacal app has ports for windows, linux & OSX, unfortunately the developers have limited access to OSX so is not properly tested.

It seems that TotalFinder is the best candidate.Xtrician wrote:There is a version of tc to mac osx?

You can find also Midnight Commander it is text based like norton commander.
But the power of TC is not only TC it is mostly due to free plugin and additional scripting (AHK, Powerpro, AutoIt, VB ...) .
But for Win/Linux/BSD/OSx/( 32- 64bit) ... who will maintain freely those add-ins ?
Well the main advantage of TotalFinder is that it's not an extra software but a hack (a kernel extension to extend a program is a hack) that extends the standard Finder.
There are also stand-alone file managers like Forklift or PathFinder out there which have many more functions compared to TotalFinder but they are nothing compared to TC.
