TC displays less files than IE

Post by *peryfery »

Hi,

I really don't know what it can be.

My computer has W7 Ultimate x64, and TC version is 7.55a or 7.56a, it doesn't matter which version - I tried another older versions.

My problem:
When I'm in WINDOWS/system32/ file, I see different files in TC and in IE.
I really know, that I have to check "Show hidden/system files(for experts only)" :-))
Is it possible that TC have problem with rights or something?? I always run this program like ROOT.

Pls help.
Thx.

Marek

BTW, IE (Internet Explorer) is an internet browser and not file browser like Explorer. :)

Are you sure?
As far as we talk about IE, try to type C:\ in IE 7+ address bar, it will open Explorer for you

Sir_SiLvA, IE 6 also displays regular Explorer window (I think it loads it as COM object) but with Microsoft Internet Explorer title. Since Explorer can display IE in its window and IE can display Explorer in its window sometimes it is hard to understand who owns this window. :D
Opera of course has own simple HTML-styled browser (but it doesn't support file operations).

2MVV: i mean really old ie like 2 or 3 back in 2nd half of 90ies...

And saying Opera doesnt support fileoperations is not 100% true - u can atleast copy files from one place to another :D
(but were getting way to OT and hacker should cut that ...)
