Hi,
I'm facing a somewhat obscure problem when copying files to external sticks (using win 7 x64 SP1).
When the stick is formatted as FAT32 I get a clear indication of the progress and speed of the copying operation. However when the stick is formatted as NTFS, the bar just jumps quickly towards the end (around 95-99%), shows an incredible speed (50 MB/s) where it stops until the copy operation ends.
When the file is big, the problem is exacerbate since one can wait easily several minutes while the windows looks like it blocked.
Is there anything that can be done to improve the accuracy of the copy operation? Some sort of NTFS option or option in total cmd that I'm not aware of?
Thanks,

Thanks but I've checked and the cache is disabled (quick removal is on). Plus as I've mentioned, when using FAT32 things are normal but with NTFS aren't.
I've seen other threads on this topic (like this one: http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=29596) but no actual conclusion/solution.

Check Christian's post at the end of this thread:

If it is the same issue, there is no solution as it is a Windows problem.
