I can confirm that the announcement that they would be able to receive
funds from 24 September was inaccurate. We are currently endeavouring to
correct this information. While we do hope to enable Russia and Ukraine
to receive payments soon, I cannot give a concrete guarantee as to when
that will happen.
Are you also planning to release all your own plugins for 64bit? I know some have been done already. The one I still use frequently is Media Audio and that one is not yet converted AFAIK. I can imagine you have some more pressing matters, like fixing beta issues, so no rush here.
Unfortunately I couldn't yet find a 64-bit version of the "Windows Media Device Manager API", which the Media Audio plugin uses. Therefore I couldn't port this plugin yet.
I presume you have already found out the following? Windows Portable Devices (WPD) supersedes both Windows Media Device Manager and Windows Image Acquisition. See
I've checked around a bit, but did not see specific references to 64bit libraries as such. The documentation refers to a code sample. I'm not a developer, but the vcproj file contains also x64 settings, so it seems possible to compile it for x64 env. However, I'm not sure it is a trivial task to recompile the original wmdmplug sources...

Another plugin that stopped working using Windows Vista/7 is WiaCam. I guess that plugin should be updated to use WPD in order to work again. It seems however that the original author is not maintaining the plugin anymore?

Yes, I saw that too, but the interfaces are completely different. I would probably have to start from zero with my plugin. That's why I was looking for 64-bit version of the "Windows Media Device Manager API"...
Well, I've been googling/binging around a bit and the results are not encouraging. I found this page showing the interface and feature comparison http://blogs.msdn.com/b/wpdblog/archive/2007/03/24/wpd-and-wmdm-side-by-side-application-development.aspx which indeed indicates no x64 version of the WMDM API (at least for WMF SDK 11) exists. MS seems to abandon WMDM/WMF SDK in favour of WPD. So a complete rewrite for x64 seems the most likely outcome... as you already said in your previous post and I suspected in mine.
The current 32-bit plugin functions well enough for now, and I'm going to have x32 and x64 in parallel anyway.
