It would be nice to get this feature implemented sometime :-)

2014...uh Andrew you missed the yearly bump in 2013... thus I think that invalidates this feature request.
*BLINK* TC9 Added WM_COPYDATA and WM_USER queries for scripting.

:D

There was no final version in 2013 therefore there was no bumping.

I have upgraded to 9.0a. Filter is lost after switching to another tab and back. There is no corresponding option in wincmd.ini.

This is intentional. The risk is too high that the user doesn't remember that he had set a filter on a tab he used some hours ago...

Christian, why not implement the following solution:

1) Quick filter is saved for tab.
2) Be default filter is reset after switching to another tab.
3) There is a switch in wincmd.ini allowing filter to remain after switching to another tab?
4) If switch is activated filter remains until removed or TC app is closed.
I will add it to my wish list - but TC8 RC1 is now feature complete, so I will not add any new features now

As an option it would be OK, but should I really spend a lot of time on a function almost no one would find and use?

Search filter is TC killer feature. At least all my friends who purchased licenses are using it. We all will be happy if you implement this feature.
