I’m trying to use DiskdirExtended plugin (I've already tried the original Diskdir) to make a kind of backup list (to compress files, etc.). It works fine, but when I try to update the list (opening the lst file and trying to copy other files into it) I get an error message: Error packing files!). Is there a way to update the list whitout having to recreate the lst file from zero or to edit the list in notepad?
Could you please update your plugin to add a new option (link list file to the original files/directories so that the list file would be updated once you have changed the original files)?

Wow... quite a prompt reply :shock: ... fortunately, further development of DiskDirExtended hasn't been stopped actually :D

DiskDirExtended V1.32 works fine now, directory dates are stored and shown properly.

Thanks a bomb! :)

Best regards, van Dusen

No viruses etc. found here, too.
I've checked it with
* Kaspersky AV V4.5.0.94 (the free c't version), signatures up to date
* GData AVK 2004 V14.1.0, signatures outdated
* Kaspersky online virus scanner

I have downloaded AntiVir Free and updated it. It shows version numbers as yours. Then I downloaded my plugin and AntiVir found nothing in it. So you have infected machine (not through my plugin). This page can help you in disinfecting your machine http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.doep.a.html.
Good Luck.

Sure, AVG complains about YOUR File but my System is infected. :twisted:
Sorry to tell you but you are wrong - none of the things written at the
symantec site is foundable on my system so you must have changed
something in your plugin that it looks like this worm..

Have you changed the AVG Settings as I did?
Turn Makrovisionheuristik on and Fileheuristik on high.

Edit
PS: No need to email me Im reading this tread :P
http://www.kaspersky.com/de/scanforvirus finds nothing in the zip - still strange...

Yes I did. Nothing found. Nevertheless, as a coder you know, what heuristics means - it just appears to be infected. I think, we may agree, that this is false alarm. It is the last post from me on this topic. Regards.

Hello 2TrePe again :),

if you have time for working on DiskDirExtented, could you make it supporting files >4GB, please? V1.32 is apparently prepared for FAT32 only and just stores file sizes up to 2^32 = 4,294,967,296 bytes. Sizes above 4GB are stored and shown as {actual size} minus 4,294,967,296 :( ...

Thank you!

For I had the same problem I contacted AntiVir Support Team at November 05. For they didn't answer I sent a 2. message at December 07.
This morning I had an answer and you can read it here:
[...] die uns vorliegende Datei wird von AntiVir fälschlicherweise als "Worm/Doep.A" gemeldet. Hierbei handelt es sich allerdings um einen Fehlalarm, welcher mit dem nächsten Update von AntiVir berichtig wird und somit die Fehlerkennung
nicht mehr gemeldet wird. [...]
With the AntiVir update from 2005/12/09: VDF-File 6.33.0.16 all is okay.

Sometimes I think it is true:" Good thing needs time"

Horst

This is just what I wanted to purpose. I keep all my backup lists in *.lst files but since addition is not allowed, desorganisation is showing its ugly face.
Yes, it is possible, but I do not know when I will have time...
C'mon Pepe, this is few hours job during weekend. If you don't have time, consider making it opensource....
We are not doing this just for the money.
We are doing it for sh*t load of money.
