Delete files

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

It's not normal advanced behaviour, its the "delete files via explorer" option - which respects a user's Recycle Bin settings, unlike TC.
*BLINK* TC9 Added WM_COPYDATA and WM_USER queries for scripting.

I'm sorry, what are you saying, then, what is the solution?

Edit:
p.s. if something was working in some way for years, then suddenly changes, isn't that a deviation from the normal behaviour in your books? :)

Options/Configuration:
> Copy/Delete
>>>> [x] Use Explorer delete method

Also, if you are running an OS beyond WinXP ( Vista, 7, 8 ) then
you may also want to add this to the wincmd.ini file, under
[Configuration]
VistaDelete=1

yes indeed using win7 x64

Edit:
Well, it didn't work. There's still a confirmation dialog at delete.

1. Right click on F8 delete button
2. Properties -> disable confirmation
3. Add line
VistaDelete=1
to wincmd.ini
4. Do not check explorer delete method

Isn't it starting to get a little out of hand that most new "options" in the last 4-5 years are no where to be found within the actual 'Config Window'?

This particular case seems the most disconcerting ...
A delete option (VistaDelete) that is for Win-Vista/Win7/Win8 -- the Operating systems that MS has released in the last, what 5 years?
--- Can only be set via direct editing of wincmd.ini
--- Gets nullified by what we thought was "Explorer Method" - which is the option that is actually available to people that don't frequent the boards every day/week.

Interesting that F8 has a context menu, made me go look to see if any of the other F-Buttons do, alas they do not.

Hehe, I did not even have the F-buttons on screen, had to switch them on just for this operation :)
