Noclose.pif is still mentioned in some help files

Post by *MVV »

Noclose.pif should be changed to Noclose.exe in:
Keyboard.txt
TOTALCMD.chm, topic "Frequently Asked Questions"

Tested TC 8.50b6.

TOTALCMD.chm, topic "Frequently Asked Questions", tested OK
Keyboard.txt, the second occurrence is NOT fixed.

Also the text "with preceding command /c" is no longer correct. Error in:
KEYBOARD.TXT
TOTALCMD.chm, topic "Command line: keys"
TOTALCMD.chm, topic "Keyboard layout"

Actually it's not 100% wrong because noclose.exe calls command.com on Win9x/ME and cmd.exe on Windows NT based systems. The point is that internal commands of the command processor can be executed this way. Maybe you have an idea how to explain this better in these locations.

In KEYBOARD.TXT you changed
Run command line/program under cursor with preceding command /c and leave open the program's window.
into
Run command line/program under cursor via Windows shell and leave open the program's window.
It would be consistent to use the same description in Help.

What about changing it into "%comspec% /c". Would that be 100% correct?
