+[8.50pb1 x64] background-foreground copy issue

Post by *Laszlo »

So lets say i'm copying a file, and than put it into background. I'm starting another copy, also put it into background. After that I click on the first copy to bring it back to foregound and now it is at foreground, but if I click on the second background copy to be in foreground, nothing happens. Even when the first copy finished, the second background copy still cant be in the foreground.

I know it cant be 2 foreground copies at the same time, but after the first is gone, the second still cant go to foreground.

If TC is minimized to system tray and a background copy is in progress, pushing foreground doesn't restore TC (and doesn't put the operation back to the foreground too).

Soluions:
1. The FG button must be shadowed if another FG operation is being processed.
2. If no other FG and TC is minimized, the FG button must be shadowed too OR must restore main TC window and resume in FG. (no another way)
This is more logical than the button doing nothing.

Sorry, there is currently no mechanism to check whether TC is accessible or not. I would have to use a timer every second or so for each background thread, which would be quite a waste of resources.

Confirmed using TC 8.50 beta 1 32bit.

Tested OK using beta 2 and beta 5.
