Using the following temporary INI-file:

[FileSystemPlugins64]
$checksum$=3014672
[left]
path=c:\
ShowAllDetails=1
SpecialView=0
show=1
sortorder=0
negative Sortorder=0
[right]
path=c:\

SpecialView=0
show=1
sortorder=0
negative Sortorder=0
[ContentPlugins64]
$checksum$=3014672
[1600x1200 (8x16)]
SearchX=276
SearchY=308
SearchDX=722
SearchDY=204
SearchMax=1
[SearchIn]
0=c:\
[RightHistory]
0=c:\
[LeftHistory]
0=c:\
TC 8.50pb1 x86 does not show the "Search in separate process window" :(

The normal search window is shown correctly.

The x64 version has no problem to show the <Alt+F7> or <Alt+Shift+F7> window.

The strange thing is that neither x86 nor x64 version has any problem to show the search window if i use my normal wincmd.ini. :?

Windows 7 x64, TC 8.50pb1

Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce this error. Maybe you are using an old mnu file? Only the English and German menus have been updated, other languages do not contain the new menu item yet.

No.
Not the menu entry is invisible, the search window does not pop up.

After installing TC850pb1 inside a separate folder i can't reproduce this anymore.

It may be related to the fact that the separate search window uses a different wincmd.ini than the one i used to reproduce the problem.
I've started tc850x86 with a button

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
%COMMANDER_PATH%\TOTALCMD.EXE
/i="%%TEMP%%\TestWincmd.ini"
%COMMANDER_PATH%\TOTALCMD.EXE,25
TestWincmd.ini

-1
from my full blown installation
The full blown installation has an INI file inside %COMMANDER_PATH% containing UseIniInProgramDir=7 and a lot of redirected sections like RedirectSection=%COMMANDER_PATH%\Config\wincmd_Layout.ini.

The strange thing was that i could not reproduce this behavior directly from the full blown installation, only using the above button and the TestWincmd.ini file inside %Temp%.

If i find an easy way to reproduce this i will post it here.

Btw.:
It may be better to use the same INI file as the main TC-instance.

It's a little bit confusing if you save/define a new search from the separate search window, that this search is stored inside a different wincmd.ini than the one which is used by the main instance started with /I=.

Maybe the environment variable %COMMANDER_INI% inherited from the parent process should be used at first if a child TC is started via /S= and no INI file is explicitly specified via /I=, /F= parameter.

It was the original English 850pb1 totalcmd.inc placed inside %COMMANDER_PATH%.

Hmmh, this could be the reason.

Just tested with the separate 850pb1 installation, and with TC850pb1 x86 the menu entry "Search in separate process..." doesn't work.

<Shift+Alt+F7> or menu entry in x64 works fine.

Thanks

I've tested this again and again with TC850 x86 beta2, and can't reproduce it anymore!
Meanwhile i'm 99% sure that i have called the search using the menu.

May be moved to fixed bugs.

Ah, then it was this issue - I understood your report differently (that the menu item wasn't shown).
