?[8.50b2] Unable to test/extract any 7z archive

Post by *Biozynotiker »

TC 8.50b2 can't test/extract any 7z archives with the internal unpacker.
(Currently i only can test the 32bit version of TC.)

There is always the error "pack method not supported" on the last file to text/extract.

Confirmed. TC reports an error but stores correctly unpacked file in _tc temp directory.

Not confirmed, 32-bit and 64-bit work both just fine when unpacking with F5!

I did notice an error "User abort" when trying to view multiple files, though. However, no "method not supported". Maybe it depends on the archive type? Can you send me a link to a non-working archive?

Here: Test.7z

EDIT:
As i said it before, this error happends only on the last file, that tc tries to extract/test.

I see different error messages (unknown format, CRC, insufficient space etc), but TC extracts files into _tc. Note, I press F3 on files, not unpack them.

What exactly do I need to do to reproduce the error?
- Alt+F9 - works
- Alt+Shift+F9 - works
- F3 on bbb.list - works
- F3 on bbb.tech - works
- F5 on each separately - works
- F5 on both (selected) - works

While testing:
"pack method not supported"

While pressing f3:
"crc error" but exits in temp folder

While extracting by f5,
"write error" or "user aborted" but its extracted.

EDIT:
@Ghisler, do you use other 7z.dll's as delivered with beta 2?

MD5 of beta 2:
31cad6a3edd1c32981ad6b565cbeac94 *tc7z.dll
1f32cd7b50eb68b3e4b29ed38f746f40 *tc7zipif.dll

You are right, tc7zipif.dll is still the old one! Here you can get the new one:
https://plugins.ghisler.com/addons/tc7zipif.zip

Installation:
1. Close TC to unload the dll
2. Start TC
3. Double click on the above archive within TC

I will release beta 2a with the fixed dll soon.
