When using "Brief view" you can select folder by clicking on its icon only in the first column. In addition after you click on a folder icon in an other column you lose the selection.

Confirm that only first column items may be selected by clicking on icon.
But I don't lost my selection when I click on icon in other columns (maybe because I'm using right-button selection mode with stable selection).

Yes, I forgot to mention that I'm using the "Windows standard" mouse mode.

Indeed TC was only allowing clicks in the first column - brief view isn't really that touchscreen-friendly. I will add support for it anyway.

Confirmed. But I did not know about this feature at all...
