[Suggestion] add DELETE (F8) to Background transfer mgr

Post by *lolo »

Hi

Please add DELETE (F8) command to Background transfer manager, so to do it after e.g. copy/move

e.g. I'm copying some GB data and after it I'd like to delete some dir/files from that copy

Hm, I would suggest to exclude the unneeded files before you start copying. If you know which files you don't need to be copied, it makes no sense to copy them anyway, right?

Support ++

can be useful, if you have a folder, and move some files out of that folder, and after that you want to delete the folder. now you always have to wait for the moving process to finish.

this definitely has a sense - I expect it should work with FTP as copy/move does now.

imagine those a few GB is in huge direcotry tree and you know you do not want just some subdirs. It is the easiest just to copy everything and then selectively remove some subdirs. You simply cannot do it before you start copying

OK, I see the point. In some cases and with a deep folder tree this could be useful...

Sorry, too risky. Why? For example, you could add files for copying to the transfer manager, and also for deletion. Now the user chooses "Skip all" when a file cannot be copied. But the files would still be deleted further down in the list!
