Comments about Total Commander's website

The website seems to be outdated quite a bit, so I am opening a thread to discuss the website.

I will start off by mentioning some outdated information.

There is also a German wiki now.

The ARJ packer. Please note: Total Commander doesn't support the new JAR format, because the file names are NOT readable by other programs like in ARJ files. You may use the multi-arc plugin above for JAR files.

The multi-arc plugin is no longer mentioned above.

Info-ZIP (ZIP-NT) 32 bit command line ZIP-compatible packer, recommended packer for use with Total Commander

Info-ZIP is not the name of the packer and the term "ZIP-NT" is nowhere to be found on Info-ZIP's website. (The term is also not used in the old zip 2.01 package zip201xn.zip).
Suggestion: "Zip (Info-ZIP)"

Is it still recommended packer for use with Total Commander? What exactly does it mean?

Link is dead. Q: Where can I find Zip-NT by Info-Zip to pack files with long filenames?
A: You can find Zip-NT at the following WWW address: ftp://ftp.uu.net/pub/archiving/zip/WIN32/
Unfortunately this version does NOT support high ASCII characters like German "Umlauts" and French or Scandinavian accents! You should use the internal ZIP packer which supports all this! You should only use ZIP-NT if you need special command line switches like zip file comments, freshen, or update.

As said before, I think "Zip-NT" is not a good term to use. Change to "Info-ZIP's Zip" ?

Q: How can I unpack Java archives (*.jar)?
A: Java archives are just normal zip files with a different extension. They can be opened with Ctrl+PageDown. If *.jar isn't associated with a different program (Files->Associate with), you can also open the file with ENTER.

Q: Why doesn't Total Commander support the new JAR packer from the author of ARJ? It creates *.j files.
A: Unfortunately the JAR format is undocumented. Its contents can only be determined by unpacking the file. However, you can unpack JAR files with the Multi-Arc plugin from our addons page. This plugin directly calls the JAR packer.

Yes, if you need both an external packer and unpacker. While 7zip is supported now, only packing is supported because 7zip lacks some essential switches to be used as a 100% capable unpacker (e.g. for unpacking directories from subdirectories).

I wonder whether German should be mentioned because the homepage is English only. Here is what the Mozilla foundation (Firefox) write about the header:

IMHO - it's a bad practice, and much better will be - not to mess up these 2 different ways to inform the people.
Pls, continue the support of updating the WhatsNew regarding the Android's version of Total.

I still think it is not clear when it is recommended. People might think it is recommended to use that instead of using the internal packer. Alternatives:
Add "external":

Change "for use with Total Commander" into "if you need an external packer":

You're probably right.
