Total Commander support in Folders Popup-Beta testers wanted
I'm the developer of Folders Popup (FP). Many Total Commander users asked me to include TC support in this app. I'm almost ready to release the first "TC aware" version of Folders Popup. I just need some time from TC users to test it before the official release.
Folders Popup 101
For those new to Folders Popup, this freeware is basically a favorite folders launcher (sometimes described to Direct Folders replacement), triggered by the Middle-mouse button. Folders Popup is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 (available in English, French, German, Dutch and Korean). In a few words, here is what FP is doing:
- All your favorite folders, documents and web pages at your finger tip – press the middle mouse button (or press Windows-K) *over* a file dialog box, a file Explorer window or the desktop to popup your personalized favorites launcher.
- If your mouse does not have a middle button, you can choose another trigger in the Options dialog box.
- Hold the Shift key while pressing the mouse middle mouse button (or press Shift-Windows-K) to popup a new File Explorer window from any window.
- The "Special Folders" menu gives an easy access to Desktop, Document, Pictures, My Computer, Network Neighborhood, Control Panel and Recycle Bin.
- The "Recent folders" menu lists the recent folders memorized by Windows.
- Use the "Explorers" menu to switch to any open file Explorer windows (and now TC windows) or open one of these folders in a dialog box.
- And much more: see http://code.jeanlalonde.ca/folderspopup/
Now, more about Total Commander...
What's new in this v3.3 beta version for Total Commander users:
- At Folders Popup startup, the app prompts you to activate Total Commander support automatically if the software is found on the system.
- Navigate to user folders and recent folders in TC windows reliably and seamlessly using TC internal commands.
- Enable special folders menus (My Computer, Network Neighborhood, Recycle Bin, etc.) in TC internal commands.
- The "TC Windows / Explorers" menu combines in one menu the folders opened in Windows Explorer and TC windows.
- Used in file dialog boxes (Open, Save As, etc.), the "TC Windows / Explorers" menu allows to open your favorite folders in the file dialog box.
Beta testers wanted
Release v3.3 of Folders Popup in now ready for beta tests. Even if it has been well tested, you must understand that some bugs may still be present in the app. The goal of the beta testing is to uncover these last bugs. If you would like to join the beta test, please see more info and the download link on this page:

Please report bugs related to Total Commander integration in this thread or on the above web page. Please, post general comments or suggestions on Folders Popup home page.
Finally, I want to thank for their support Christian Ghisler (developer of Total Commander) and users of this forum who helped me discovering some TC advanced techniques and internal commands.

Google Chrome could not load the webpage because code.jeanlalonde.ca took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.

Thanks for reporting this. Traffic was half the average on my website yesterday. There was certainly a problem. But, apparently, not for the days before.ts4242 wrote:Your site is down, i cannot load it since 3 days
Anyway, I reported this to my hosting service.
Sorry for hijacking TC's forum with this...

I really don't know what could be the reason for this issue.I see your site and server are both up and functioning perfectly fine.
No recent downtime was encountered on your server.
This appears to be a local ISP/Routing issue as your site is indeed up.

I had this once with ghisler.ch too - it was a routing problem with my internet access provider. You can use the tracert.exe tool on Windows to see where it hangs.
