TC icon with color per instance

Hi guys,

Always when I have more than one instance of TC I get confused which one is which. This is valid both when multiple instances are minimized in tray or active in taskbar.

It will be really useful if I could visually differentiate instances by color of diskette icon (i.e. red, green, yellow). Of course each instance should automatically get unique color.

It makes sense that color is not randomly selected on instance run, but taken from list. Say icon of 1st instance is blue, 2nd-green, 3rd-yellow, etc.

hope to see colors soon :)

greetings!

I'd also like to see different tray icons for different TC instances. Maybe it's possible add overlay instance numbers for tray icons?

There is an option to show instance number in the title bar (add ShowInstanceNr=1 under Configuration section) and also you can arrange TC icon in the task bar to meet their instance number!

How about adding support for additional icon library with custom icons for use in notification area? So each additional icon in custom library will be used by each additional launched TC instance. If launched TC instance number will exceed amount of icons in library, it will use own default notification area icon.

We already have a possibility to change main TC icon by using custom icon library which also changes notification area (aka system tray) Total Commander icon.
I suggest to add IconLib<number>= wincmd.ini keys where <number> is a user-defined number. TC then will use the icon library defined by the key with the number which matches running Total Commander instance number.
