Portable Version Without the tc2usb

Post by *Lare2 »

I know about the existence of the "tc2usb" but was wondering
why a compressed portable version is not being offered.

I have used the portable tool before but would love if a portable
download option where available.

Is there any limitation on the program that prevents this from
happening without installing it first.

Just rename the installer to tcmd851a.zip, unpack it, then unpack the CAB file to a directory on the USB stick.

Put the wincmd.ini in the same folder as the exe, and add line
UseIniInProgramDir=7
to section [Configuration].

Hi.

There's no CAB file in tcmd900ax64.exe (tcmd900ax64.zip) :?

Thanks

Axis,
I don't know which archiver do you use but tcmd900ax64.exe is just an SFX ZIP archive and it does contain INSTALL.CAB archive inside.

Anyway, you can simply copy your installed TC to your USB stick and put your wincmd.ini into its dir (don't forget to add mentioned UseIniInProgramDir=7 parameter to make TC use this local INI).
