TC9 beta: new icons missing? Yes, it's intended for beta1+2

Post by *Samuel »

Code: Select all

05.06.16 Added: Dialog box to choose default icon library for button bar and main menu, also supports third party libraries (32/64)
As far as I can see the new Icons (http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=43999) are missing right now. Am I doing it wrong?

BTW is there a way to enable old file/folder and drive icons?
Windows folder and file icons are too large and smooth (almost invisible on bright background), old TC ones were much nicer.
Windows drive icons are too high (e.g. because of stupid windows logo on system drive)

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Currently you can only do this by using an external drive icon library. I have created one for you:
https://plugins.ghisler.com/addons/drive850.zip

You also need to put
drivelib=c:\Totalcmd\DRIVE850.DLL

in wincmd.ini under section [Configuration] and restart TC.

Thank you, looks better.
I've noticed that autorun.inf icons for CD-ROMs are lost with drive library but I think there is no way to detect if CD-ROM uses standard icon or autorun's one.

Actually system icons are completely disabled in favor of the library if you specify one.

BTW is there a way to return old height of drive bar buttons? New large buttons maybe useful for ones with sensor screens but not for regular users.

And what about file/folder icons?

Is it really that bad? It's only 2(!) pixel more! Many people have complained that these buttons are too small even for mouse users.

Yes it can!
1. Define the colors in Configuration - Options - View modes
2. Define the rules in Configuration - Options - Auto Switch Mode

Hello, where can I obtain wcmicons.dll for hi-dpi monitors?
Current file produces pixelated icons on 4k monitor.
