?[9.0b1] Custom columns window shows unwanted

Post by *fenix_productions »

Steps to reproduce:
- open some archive via Enter or Ctrl+PgDown
- see that you'er inside (i.e. c:\stuff\mytest.zip\*.*)
- close TC
- start TC again

Result:
Configuration window appears with Custom columns page.

Expected:
TC should choose default one like it does when I hit Escape for this config window.

Additional observations:
Esc (or Enter) does not always work for hiding config window as it may re-appear couple of times. I can stop it by selecting any custom columns view
from given list.

Oo course: I have to save TC settings after stopping this flow to avoid meeting with it again in next TC restart.

I cannot reproduce this. Could you send me or post a minimum wincmd.ini with this problem, please? Here TC just opens the directory containing the ZIP, no dialog box opens.

I apologise but it will not be possible in next few days as I am on holidays without an access to my PC.
Although I remember most of my settings so if you have some ideas what may causing it I could help by saying what I have enabled, i. e. TC does not warn me about losing temp files when I close it being inside archive…

OK, I will postpone this problem to a later beta then. Still no luck reproducing it, sorry.

Full config:

As soon as I have more time after travel I will try to pinpoint exact setting responsible for this behaviour.
If this will not work I will also check if it matters that the tabs which appear after this window is shown are set up for AutoView Mode.

P.S. I will remove this linked ZIP in next couple of days or after you let me know that you got it.

Downloaded beta 2 and issue is gone!

Dunno what was changed (I haven't read full changelog) but all works fine now.

I managed to reproduce it with fresh ini after some tries. In my case, it was caused by "locked but directory changes allowed", where wrong view mode was saved.
