Problem: Directory hotlist (ctrl+D) and AquaSnap
There is a bug (already in beta 1) in the use of the directory hotlist
Pressing Ctrl+D works fine, but when you have chosen to configure it and press OK to accept changes and then press Ctrl+D again the list is huge and filled with new entries with only 1 symbol: Ş

NOT confirmed. Please post step by step instructions and if possible a minimum wincmd.ini with this problem.

Direct after starting TC
Choose Ctrl + D to activate the Directory Hotlist
Choose Configure
Don't change anything, Press Cancel or OK
This is the result when you use the Ctrl + D hotkey again: http://i.imgur.com/32CnUvb.png

Unfortunately it doesn't happen here, I tried TC 32-bit and 64-bit. Are you sure your description is correct? Especially the "Open and Cancel" part can't be right - TC doesn't even write to the wincmd.ini in this case...

I installed the beta version "portable" as described many times in the forum, for instance here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=42348&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=portable
I found out that in case of a "normal" installation everything works fine.
Can the type of installation make the difference?

2Horst.Epp Thank you for testing this. I also prefer using TC portable. I was just wondering why this happens here and other users don't experience the same problem.Horst.Epp wrote:Not confirmed for TC 9.0b2 x64
The dir menu entries stay as they should be with no addional entries at all.
Followed the procedure above for testing.
And my TC installation is and was always a portable one !

I found out that AquaSnap is the culprit. After closing this software TC9 works fine.Ennovy wrote: I was just wondering why this happens here and other users don't experience the same problem.
TC8 works OK when AquaSnap is running

You might want to disable/change some hotkeys in AquaSnap. I'm using this software myself, but I have disabled the hotkeys from the beginning.

When I have to edit the TC9 Directory hotlist (not very often), I have to disable AquaSnap for a while.

That's odd, it should not have any effect if you just view the settings and don't save them. Do you see anything happening in the directory hotlist configuration dialog?AquaSnap

No I don't see anything happen because the dialog disappears immediately after pressing Cancel or OK.ghisler(Author) wrote:That's odd, it should not have any effect if you just view the settings and don't save them.
