How to show time in "am/pm" format?

I have read that the time format is a function of the language file installed, in my case English. A few years ago Mr. Ghisler wrote that there would be 2 versions for English. However, I can't download the English separately as it is built in.

So, do I need to reinstall TC and select the right English for am/pm. Or have I missed a setting?

My system time display is set to am/pm.

Have you checked-out Configuration > Tabstops > [x] Use 12 hour AM/PM format ?

Thanks, Stefan. I missed that. It works in the standard view but I have a custom columns view set up. Upon close examination, appending P in [=tc.writedate.M/D/y h:mP] worked.
