There is an option to play a sound at the end of long operations; postponed dialogs interfere with this functionality.
For example, when copying many large files, it may take several minutes to copy them. If there is some file that already exists, TC will ask about this file at the end of the operation - but no sound will be played and the user will not know that he can go back to TC/computer; the sound will be played just after closing the "overwrite" dialog (= just after the user himself realizes that the operation finished).
So my suggestion is: when the operation was a long operation, and some postponed dialogs must be displayed, TC should play the sound before displaying dialogs - not after closing them.
Dinging is useless with postponed dialogs

Well, I agree, too. But keep in mind that the sounds' names suggest they're played when the operation is complete. So, it may be a good idea to make additional sounds that are played when user interation is required.
