TC9 everything search: make it display results as user types

Post by *zloidooraque »

hi!
it's cool feature to integrate everything to TC (at last!), i'm very glad

it would be also cool to have option to display search results as you type, just like Everything's own behaviour. I mean without pressing "start search" button.

thanks

Sadly this isn't possible as long as Everything only returns the file names, not the file details.

Could you please elaborate, why the file details are important. The search dialog shows only filenames anyway...
I would love an instant as you type 'everything' search in TC

TC also compares the additional search options like date between, size, attributes, plugins, and needs the full details for this. Even if it doesn't need them, it will need them when the user clicks on "Feed to listbox".

You can configure Everything with TC as Filemanager.
Then use Everything UI as usual and go an results entry in TC.
