[9.0b9] Sync error when archive is entered by Ctrl+PgDn

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.0b9] Sync error when archive is entered by Ctrl+PgDn

Post by *MVV »

When I have an archive with registered extension, TC is able to sync it with a folder and even compare by contents, but when I enter some archive via Ctrl+PgDn, sync tool just reports something like 'Right path invalid!'.

E.g. if I have associated ISO extension with Total7zip, I can sync its contents, but if I change its extension to ISO1 and enter archive by Ctrl+PgDn, I get this error.

TC should simply use the same packer that was used for entering archive, or perform same open procedure with calling CanYouHandleThisFile if it isn't easy to pass this information to sync tool.

Please fix this, it is very inconvenient to have such a strange limitation. It is always a problem when Sync tool refuses to work...

Sorry, sync tool is independent, it checks the archive type by itself. TC cannot tell it what the user has chosen.
