Choose plugin property dialog preserve last selected plugin

Post by *ts4242 »

When configure custom column, "Choose plugin property" dialog always pre-select tc and you have to re-select the the plugin you already configure, this is tedious and annoying.

Please auto select the last selected plugin at least as far as "Custom Columns" or "Multi-Rename Tool" session is in progress, this will make life easier!!!

@Ghisler

Any chance to add this before TC 9 final release?

I would have added it before if it were that simple. But the external plugin may not be there when re-opening the dialog, e.g.
- it was removed
- it's on an inaccessible network share
- it's linked to via %commander_path%, and a second copy of TC was opened
etc.

ghisler(Author),
I think guys are talking about remembering last selected plugin during TC session, no need to write anything to INI... And if plugin is inaccessible, you can simply select first plugin in list as you do now.

That's true, i even limited it to "Custom Columns" or "Multi-Rename Tool" session not TC session.

@Ghisler

A solution could leaving the dialog in memory when pressing [X] button by hiding it instead of unloading, unload it only when closing its parent window.
