[9.0 final both x32 and x64] magnet url files not working

Post by *chandragor »

Any URL file containing a magnet url is not executed: if you press enter or double click on it nothing happens.
The file is correctly executed (i.e., uTorrent.exe is launched) if you do the same on Windows Explorer or a previous version of Total Commander.

An URL file containing a magnet url is a text file with the following content:

[InternetShortcut]
URL=magnet:?xt= .......magnet info.......

Everything works as it should if the URL file contains an http url.

Tested on Win 8.1 x64 Eng and on Win 7 x64

I canfirm that - TC expects URLS to look like this:
prefix://some_text

Since there is no // in the magnet URL, TC assumes that the URL is invalid. I will change it.

Thanks. Quick and helpful as ever :D

Currently a simple workaround is right-click on the file (or press the "Context Menu Key") and select the first entry in the context menu.
