Selecting in the Background transfer window (BTW)

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Selecting in the Background transfer window (BTW)

Post by *Damel »

Selecting in the Background transfer window (BTW)

If I have more entries in BTW than that are displayed, eg.:
______copy:c:\dir01 --> d:\dir01
______copyflags ####
______copy:c:\dir02 --> d:\dir02
______copy:c:\dir03 --> d:\dir03
______...
______copy:c:\dir10 --> d:\dir10
(not displayed entries)
...
copy:c:\dir19 --> d:\dir19
copy:c:\dir20 --> d:\dir20
And I want select entries from the dir02 entry to the end:
1) cursor is placed on the dir02 entry
2) SHIFT is hold
3) mouse wheel is used to scroll down
4) on the last entry (dir20) is clicked

What is expected: Entries from the dir02 entry to the dir20 entry are selected.
What happens instead: Selected are only entries from dir02 to the last visible in BTW before scrolling down (dir10 entry here).

And I'm not talking about what strange thing happens when you try to select entries from bottom to the top... :)

If that mysterious "copyflags ####" line is deleted first, then selecting from top to bottom works as expected, but from bottom to top is still "Bermudish trianglish".
The best solution:
1. format C:
2. install TotalCmd
3. install Windows (optionally)

Ou... ok, hopefully this will be changed in future for this most common activity inside this window (classically after adding entries by a mistake). Anyway thanks for reply.
