Image thumbnails for webp files

Hello mr Ghisler,
I am very fond of Total Commander, it is one of my most used apps on Android (and Windows many many years ago, when I was still using that.) Many thanks first and foremost.
My request for the Android app: Could you please extend the thumbnail images with support for .webp files?
To be more exact about the type of file, the output of "file foobar.webp" shows me this:
RIFF (little-endian) data, Web/P image, VP8 encoding, 533x627, Scaling: [none]x[none], YUV color, decoders should clamp
Perhaps that's useful info. I've downloaded quite a few of these, from imgur I think. So having thumbnails would really help me when trying to organise them.
Best wishes, hope you have had a nice Christmas, and all the best for 2017!
