Security issue: Symantec Endpoint Protect. 'WS.Reputation.1'

Post by *mtemp2 »

Hi there,

this message appears suddenly on a computer (win10/64, TC 9.0a, x64) within a network and Symantec Endpoint Protection installed

Image: http://www.abload.de/img/2017-02-08_shot_003prs2n.png

I had to reinstall TC.

thanks

If very few people use a program, the scanner automatically classifies it as an unknown virus (so called "reputation").
Maybe you can try to submit it to them from the quarantine, or send them the URL...

... hmm, the strang thing was: I am using TC now for several months und suddenly this message appears – and afterwards the exe file disappeared ;)

→ I installed TC again.

Thanks for your reply!

Perhaps an update of the database of your Symantec Endpoint Protection thingy.

mtemp2,
You'd have to ask the good folks over at Symantec, there is not much we can do about it here.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
