How about '7-zip' support build-in directly into TC please?

Could you integrate support for 7-Zip directly into TC please?
It's probably the second (after zip) most used archiver in the world. Maybe you could replace ARJ (does it even exist anymore?) with it in the options?

What is the problem with the Total7zip plugin ?
Its allows you to use the actual 7zip versions and functions
without the need for any new TC versions.
It also supports all additional extensions like WIM, ISO and others.

What plugin?
I'm sorry, I always used TC as it was. I don't even know there are plugins of any kind.

Wow, what a wonderful discovery, the entire new world. :)

Configuration - Plugins

...

With plugins, you can use SFTP, connect to cloud storages, read multimedia tags, view images and other formats in Lister, pack/unpack unsupported archives etc etc etc...

Heh, interesting. I'm an oldschool guy, I just use TC like I used Norton Commander. I don't think I need any plugins :D

I checked the 7-Zip ones, and both of them are outdated by 5 or even more years. 7-Zip got major updates last year, and so I don't think I want to use this.

You don't have any idea about plugins.
Plugins are one of the major difference comparing TC and othe file managers.
If you never needed any plugin, I guess you can use Explorer.
As I told you above, the Total7zip plugin can always use the actual 7zip installation whatever it is.
What should be more actual for 7zip support ?

Total Commander supports unpacking 7z archives. Do you request to add compressing support?

I don't like your tone one bit.
Member since 2003 and still no manners it seems. Nice. I guess I'll ask about stuff elsewhere where people know how to behave.

Sorry for that
but I had the impression that you didn't read my first answer at all.
There I told you that the plugin can always use the actual 7zip.
