Deleting line with found text in Compare by content

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Deleting line with found text in Compare by content

Post by *browny »

Compare any two files.
Click Edit mode.
Find any text using Ctrl+F, it would be underlined.
Make sure there is a non-empty line below; if necessary line(s) could be added.

Press Home, then press Shift+Down, press Delete
These actions select and delete the whole line with the found text; and the next line moves up.
But green underline will remain, no matter what new text was in the next line.

This is intentional so the user sees where the search would continue.

Thanks for clarification.
Though the feature is counterintuitive quite often.
In editor it might be expected for search to be resumed from the current position. With given actions that position should be at the beginning of the line, not from green mark somewhere in the middle of the line.
