Improved "Sync Directories" feature

"Synchronize Directories" is a great feature.

The "Show" part where you can filter Duplicate/Single -> = # <- helps a lot BUT it doesn't work in many circumstances. The REASON is that = and # buttons do not make sense for Single files.

Also, there are unsupported scenarios such as when you like to see the files that are LEFT-single's plus the files that are Right-duplicate-unequal. Those scenarios are not supported.

So I propose it changes to two rows of buttons for singles and duplicates:

Show:
Singles: [->] [<-]
Duplicate: [->] [=] [#] [<-][/face]

For me it's confusing that the described buttons are used for the compare result AND for the direction set by the user. Of course you can reset the direction but there is no way to see which files have been given a certain sync direction.

Thanks for your response. I think you misunderstood me. I am just talking about the 4 buttons at the top that filter what type of compared files you like to see. It's not about the files in the list.

Please look at the following mock up:

So in your opinion the files in the list are not the compared files?

They are but when you compare two lists, you get 6 sub-lists:
1) Single Left
2) Single Right
3) Newer Left
4) Older Left
5) Different
6) Equal

So you need 6 buttons. The current buttons do not allow you to select what you want. My proposed 6 buttons let you select exactly what you want.

Regarding your issue about confusing the direction, I think that's not valid. Users can easily see what they need because single files can easily be distinguished because they don't have a same name file on the other side.
