Search + number or symbol are not working

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Windows: Settings - Keyboard - Other settings - Activate underline key combinations.

@tuska: can't find that option.

@Horst.Epp:to quick search for a file or folder, by default you press Ctrl + Alt + Letter. Example:

I have the following folders:

1folder
_folder
Afolder
Bfolder
Cfolder
Dfolder

Ctrl + Alt + "A", will bring up Afolder. Same for the rest except 1fodler and _folder, it won't work

Mmhh, I have a german Windows version: Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 1703 (Build 15063.296)
and translated the menu item into English only. => Under Settings: Search for "Keyboard".

CTRL + ALT + 1 works if you press the number 1 above the letter "Q" (not the number 1 of the number block).

How should CTRL + ALT + _ (underscore) work? To get the underscore, you need the shift key.
You can only search for - (dash) with CTRL+ALT+-

But you could use QuickSearch eXtended: viewtopic.php?t=22592
to find quickly what you want.

I cannot reproduce. It works here properly, also CTRL + ALT + Number and CTRL + ALT + Underscore work as expected. I tested with TC64 9.0a, running under Win7 Pro x64 english with an US-english keyboard layout.

solved

The problem seems to be coming from the old setting I've loaded when kept updating. I've reset to default on the latest version and it's working great. Thank you all and sorry to waste your time
