Support for sync. dirs for file system plugins

When I try to sync. dirs with 'Secure FTP' TC displays the error that this isn't supported. But why? I can manually compare I each file but this is of course quite cumbersome and error-prone.
Is it possible to support this in a future version?

How do you connect to "secure ftp"? With my SFTP plugin? This does support synchronizing.

Yes I'm using the Secure FTP plugin version 1.4.2 beta 1 (taken from readme file) but it doesn't work.
To make it clearer. There is a Secure FTP folder on BOTH sides. Manual comparing works fine...

Ah, I see - no, this isn't supported, only local folder with plugin.

Would it be possible to add it in a future version? It seems to be straight forward as comparing single files manually works fine - but is impossible to do for many files.
