how to make multi-replacement on 1 time?

Post by *lisns »

hello,
with Total Commander we can make 1 replacement for many file at the same time, but my question is how to make multi-replacement for all file?
example:
now I have 2 replacement for all files on folder:
1) "+" to "_"
2) ";" to "-"
I will use Files->Multi-rename tool but I must type 2 time.
I wonder if there's any way to make both replacement on 1 time

On NOTEPAD++ we have option MACRO for make multi-replacment, is there anything like that on Total Commander?

I am not an expert, but did you try to put +|; in field "search for", and put _|- in field "replace with"?

Multi-rename tool : search+replace multiple strings

Post by *Stefan2 »

Hi and welcome, lisns.

- open Multi-rename tool (Strg+M)
- press F1 key
- read
Search & Replace
New: You can now search+replace multiple strings in one step!
The strings need to be separated by the vertical line (Alt+124).
Example: Replace Umlauts+Accents:
Search for: ä|ö|ü|é|è|ê|à
Replace with: ae|oe|ue|e|e|e|a

Alt+124 is the pipe-symbol '|'

Is it that?
