How to connect to USB HD on TP-Link

Post by *bobmoor »

I have a Harddisk mounted to the USB port of my TP-Link Archer C9 router.
With several other explorer-like programms/apps I can contact this harddisk, even with my Wi-Fi tv. With Total Commander (both 8 and 9) I can only work with this harddisk via FTP.
Is there a simple method (e.g. plugin) to contact the harddisk just like any other (external) drive so that I can easily work with the files on this harddisk.
I have to contact the harddisk via the Network button, see it, but when opening it TC asks if I want to use Media player, which I don't want, just open the harddisk (mount it) so that I can work with the files on it (edit/add/delete/watch/listen)

Try and run the internal command cm_OpenDrives and check whether your USB-drive is seen there...

Yes, when I do that I can see what I want.
Is there a way to have this easy done, a button or so.
I am not familiar enough with these things to know how to enable it.
Thank you

I added a button to the mainbar running this command and that works.
If there is a better solution you are welcome

There are several ways like:
- Drive drop down list: Select "Computer"
- The tiny triangle at the very left of breadcrumb bar: Select "Computer"

Ok, thanks to all.
I tried the suggestions and will see which one (or all) to use.

Btw, is it possible to add this instead of network, or extra to the drivebutton bar?
I have it now as an extra button to the first button bar.
