Multi Rename Text Size

Post by *jberry910 »

The text Upper/Lowercase is too big and overwrites the line above.

Could you tell us your Dialog box font setting and your DPI setting for us to reproduce...?

But there definitely is a change in the spacing in that dialog in the 64bit version between TC 9.0a and TC 9.10r1 (the 32bit version is unaffected)

See: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/multirenamecrowding.png

The 64bit version really look bad now with default DPI and font.

This look was also present in TC 9.10b1pre1 (from private beta test)

2petermad: The problem from your screenshot seems to happen with every single groupbox in TC. It's ok in 32bit version, but content is shifted up by several pixels in 64bit one. It's best seen with Classic theme where controls inside groupbox paint their background and clearly overlap with caption. Probably the worst example is "Operation" page in main configuration dialog:

Hmm - I cannot reproduce what you show here: https://imgur.com/gx6ySfn - tried diffrent DPI settings, but I cannot get the "Upper/lowercase" label to cover the selectboxes above, as you can.

happen with every single groupbox
I think you are right - I hope it gets fixed - it is really not good looking the current way.

NOT confirmed. Is this on Windows 10? If yes, which version?

It is under both Windows 7 and 10, but only with 64bit version of TC 9.10b1 that I see the upward shifting of textbox content in the dialogs compared to TC 9.0a and 32 bit TC 9.10r1.

I can reproduce it with a clean ini-file. I am not running my Windows' with any scaling.

I'm using a font-specific distance from the upper border now, to support multi-dpi setups. But I don't see such a huge gap with any fonts I tried here. I will use this only on secondary screens with different DPI in the next beta, so most users shouldn't be affected any more.
