Post by *mikus »

Can we have a 'Clost all but this'/'Close other tabs' option like in visual studio/chrome/etc ?

Thx!

All tabs are closed, even locked ones. But TC panel must contain at least one tab. So, only the current (active) tab remains. It is that you requested, isn't it?

I guess the thread starter wants an operation that does not only works on the current tab but also in inactive tabs.

ah I see
so if I switch to the tab and then do 'close all tabs' that get's me what I need.
confusing that 'close all tabs' does leave at least one tab open but workable.

Uh, this option is already there, isn't it? "Close all tabs" (Ctrl+Shift+W) when right-clicking the tabs does exactly that: it closes all but the active tab.

Yes, but it doesn't close locked tabs (both locking modes). My script does

OK. The OP didn't mention locked tabs, so I didn't take them into account (also because I don't use locked tabs myself).

For me the reason for using locked tabs
is that they are not closed by "Close all tabs".
This way I can close alle temporarily opened tabs
without loosing importand others.

In comments to my script I've suggested the following key in the configuration:
Vochomurka wrote:Reaction to "Close All Tabs" command:
[ ] Close all
[ ] Close unlocked only
[ ] Prompt for each locked
Or, add one more tab-context command:

Code: Select all

Close all tabs
Close only unlocked tabs Ctrl+Shift+W
