Encryption secure delete temp file?

Hi, i have a question
If i put an aes encrypted .zip on the ext.sd card and open a file with TC the file is then copied to temp in internal memory. Does this file then gets shredded when closed? With XDA's MiXplorer it seems the files from the .zip don't get copied but are opened directly. But i don't know for sure. Can anyone please explain. Thanks. I'm using android 6 not rooted.
