TC 9.10 feedback

Hello there.
I've tried 9.10 after staying with 8.52 for quite awhile.
9.10 instantly felt slower for me. Scrolling and clicking felt slower.
In 8.52 when you click the selection rectangle switches on mouse down, which means instantly.
In 9.10 it switches on mouse up, so there is a delay.
Little things like that create perception of slowness.
Hope this is something developers can look at.
A little bit about me:
Long time user of Windows and Total Commander. Switched to it from FAR back in 1998.
Use it at home and at work, it's absolutely quintessential for me and after 19 years with it it's just part of my life.
