Error message error

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Error message error

Post by *kes »

I am copying the contents of an ISO from one drive to another. An error occurs and the message says:

Error writing TARGET

This is wrong and should read

Error copying SOURCE

As I have verified by attempting to copy whole ISO to many drives and always get an error reading.

I am using plugin

iso plugin for Total Commander (read CD-ROM images) version 1.7.6

and TC version 9.12

32 bit editions

This can happen when copying with CopyFileEx function: Some error messages don't tell whether the error was with reading or writing, e.g. access denied. TC does some checks to determine whether it's a problem with the source or target, but it's not always possible.
