Differentiation of trigger- and manually-activated View mode

Post by *DrShark »

There are 3 ways to get view mode applied for current tab:
1. View mode acitvates by an AutoSwitch trigger.
2. Manual activation: user activates View mode in the context menu of a Tab.
3. Manual activation: with changed view mode user presses OK or Apply on page Configuration->View mode change (although looks like <default> view mode can't be activated in such way - maybe there is a bug here).

The behavior of active view modes called manually and by trigger is different:
trigger-based activation is applied only to path(s) matching AutoSwitch rules,
but on manual activation View mode applies to current tab even if its path doesn't match trigger (autoswitch command(s) executed only right after View mode applied manually, but custom View mode icon is present even on further walking locations except for cases where by TC's internal rules custom view mode icon has lower priority then current folder icon, e.g. the one from Descript.ion.)

Suggestion: to help user to distinguish the activation source of active View mode, mark active View mode differently if it has been activated manually (I suggest to use * sign, like on locked tabs, near an icon or a name of a View mode in tab's context menu).
