full screen in Total Commander

Post by *Kret »

What I lack in TC is full-screen mode.
I have written little program which toggle full screen on/off for current working TC. You can download it from

Is there any way to back to normal view (without restarting TC)?

Could it be possible to view menu optionally?

Hello,

what is the advantage of your program in comparison to a TCScript script?

Thanks for the link to this script. I don't read German forum (from obvious reasons :-) ) so I've not seen it before.

TcFullScreen doesn't hide the buttons but hides the title bar and the Windows task bar and... unfortunately the menu ;-(

Maybe it would be good to make the tool configurable - just to allow users to decide what he wants to hide.

That sounds interesting! I have tried the tool. It works fine.

Just execute the program again.

I agree - that would be fine. Using the above mentioned script together with the program works fine as a workaround.

It's not as cool as it seems first. If you use TC not maximized and turn back from full view you get TC in maximized mode. If you switch back to normal mode (cm_restore) it moves TC anywhere in the left upper with TC-Taskbar not to grip to move it back anywhere else.

BTW The menu isn't completely hidden. Its only displaying the menu from the second line (if you have one like me  ).
