To me it would be better to have brighter icon background in dark mode for all icons - in button bar, menu and file list. Most icons for many years were designed for normal mode with bright background. In dark mode they are hard to recognize or look ugly.

You shouldn't change colors for active tabs only. Colors for active and inactive tabs should be somehow related. They are defined in Windows desktop theme (for normal mode only in older systems) – so change your theme if needed.

I see that now it is possible to choose Tabs color in Dark Mode, but I couldn't find anything similar for Button Bars, and for many icons with black objects and transparent background it looks very difficult to understand what they represent.
